I can't believe it's been over 3 months since I've blogged! We've been busy, but I also still don't have a computer, but I do have a Kindle Fire! I got it for xmas from my parents, and it's awesome, but haven't figured out how to blog from it yet. So I'll try to briefly catch up from where I left off. :)
We had friends (Bailes) over for Halloween (they were in town for work). Marlee was a bumble bee, but we didn't end up dressing up. We trick-or-treated around the neighborhood. MJ was so funny, trying to go into most peoples' houses because most everyone had dogs! It was precious. She continues to LOVE Nana and tells her to "mere" (come here) while gesturing with her hand, and she calls Boda "Bobo" now. We had a great time visiting Centre for Thanksgiving, early Christmas with Jon & April and the other Sanfords, and then my NOLA family came up for Christmas again this year. It was great to see them!
Marlee is doing great at feeding herself, running around, spinning around, jumping, singing, and dancing. Her dancing is awesome...poking her booty out and shaking it side to side. :) I am AMAZED at how many words she uses, receptive directions she can follow, that she can count to 3, and identify a few letters already! The letters O, Y, B, H, and D are her favorites right now. She's a HUGE fan of Sesame Street (or Elmo, as she calls it b/c he's her fav), and knows most of the characters already. She only gets to watch it every now and then, but she reads lots of SS books. She's still a good sleeper, and down to one nap a day (most days) now. She's so sweet! She plays with her kitchen and "babies" she got for xmas a lot, and LOVES to READ BOOKS! And she is definitely on her way to being MISS INDEPENDENT! Saying "self" many times a day wanting to do things herself. She still loves being outside (and we're having a mild winter...lucky) and loves the moon too. She's finally trying to say Gramps and Gama. We are still active in MOMS Club, going to playdates most every week, along with a few other events here and there. I've had a few GNOs with a few other moms and it's been great getting to know them better.
I'm still in my original book club (plus the MOMS one), and still working part time. I have started working out more and eating clean more often, and I've lost 13 lbs since Nov. I hope to lose 10-15 more before getting pregnant again. Dave is still at ABEC and almost done with his 3rd year of school. He's hoping the summer semester works out and he'll be DONE by August. Then we hope to put our house on the market...we've got big plans we hope come true! Dave has done a writers' night near downtown recently, had Cullen record bass tracks on his song for Marlee "Welcome Home" (which he put to home video...precious!), and Danny finally came over to hang out again since leaving the band. It was so great to hang out with him again!
My parents came up this passed weekend to celebrate mine and mom's b'days. I am officially 29, but I don't want to say "and holding", I want to say "bring it on!". I hope to get better every year! :)
Check out Dave's song and video below!
