19 Months Old!

Our little diva is 19 months old today!  She's just as precious as ever, even though her favorite word lately is "no", or phrase "no, no, no, no!".  She thinks she's pretty cute indeed. It's amazing that she's already taking in possessives (mommy's cup, daddy's hat, etc), and even started saying "my ___" too.  Sesame Street is still something she wants to watch (we allow 1 episode per day), and she's getting very imaginative with her play (feeding animals, making them sit and watch or play, playing farm, kitchen, "reading", "talking" on the phone, and pretending to be animals).  Cuteness!  Letters and numbers are still something she wants to talk about daily, and she can  now count to 10 by herself!!!!  Crazy!  She knows a few colors and is singing on her own some too.  At least once a day she wants to "call daddy" on my phone, and she loves talking to him while he's a work.  ;)  She loves to "go bye bye", whether it be a stroller ride & swinging outside, to the grocery store, or to playdates.  I'm so glad to have the MOMS Club for friends for both of us!

I'm going to be speaking at our next monthly meeting, hopefully helping other moms understand how behavior works.  ;)  I'm excited!  My part-time work will be coming to an end by summer, and our mortgage is going up, so I'm trying to secure something to bring in more money that'll work for me and MJ.  Dave is hopefully going to finish his final year of ABC Electrical schooling this summer and be a journeyman by September!  This fall will change many things!  Things will work out how they're supposed to, and I look forward to how it unfolds!

Happy St. Patrick's Day...Spring is on it's way!

Wow, the weather has been pretty awesome lately!  Despite some crazy, stormy days, the temperature has been very spring like for the last month.  We have been enjoying some porch time, swinging, strolling, and riding around with the sunroof open.  :)  Marlee LOVES being outside and seeing "peoples", so she asks to go "bye bye" a lot.  I hope we can go swimming with friends a good bit this summer when it gets really hot, because if it's already 80 degrees in March, there's no telling how hot this summer will be!

We had a whirlwind weekend in Centre (week before last) dodging storms from KY to South Alabama (no significant damage at our house).  We spent time with MJ's grand and great-grandparents.  Also, Uncle Jon and Aunt April were there.  They told us they were officially 10 weeks pregnant!!!!  So excited for them and hope all goes well for them this time!  :)  Marlee may not know it yet, but she's gonna LOVE having a little cousin!  They have a feeling it's a boy, but are just now almost 13 weeks, so we'll have to wait a little longer to find out.  Jon's friend Jeremiah brought his girlfriend, Emily, to Centre that same weekend as well, and proposed to her at the lake!  She seemed really nice, and it was cool to share some of the weekend with them as well...all kinds of love in the air!

The Sunday we got back home, Marlee pee peed in her potty TWO times during the evening before bed!  We bought her little potty when BeBe and Gramps were last here, and she's been sitting on it for a while with her diaper and pants on, and just recently started wanting to take them off to sit on the potty.  Just gonna keep going and let her get more and more comfortable and start initiating herself.  She's growing up!

She's starting to sit down and flip through her favorite books for little chunks of time, and sometimes she sits and rocks in her little rocking chair Gama got for her with her books...so cute!  She's still very social, and picks up on things so quickly...such a smart girl!  She's definitely forming her own opinions about things and "no no no no" is her favorite phrase sometimes, whether it's to us or to the puppies.  ;)

We're getting our a/c units (both) fixed this week by Hiller for much cheaper than we imagined, so we should be prepared for the 85 degree high coming next week!  Dave's almost finished with his 3rd year of Electrical school, 1 more to go.  He may go over the summer, but he may not, so that I can work more part-time to make extra money to handle our mortgage increase.  Ugh, but we'll figure it out and make it happen!  Just when you start to get comfortable, life reminds you that you can't plan everything.  :)

We're having a mini baby shower for a MOMs friend today, and then Julie, Jade, and Mal are coming over tonight to celebrate St. Patrick's Day!  Next week, we've got a hike planned on Tues. morn, and then MJ turns 19 months old.  Many of her MOMs Club friends are turning 2 next month.  They're all growing up!
